SATA drives detected as USB

    howdy yall,
    i have a weird and unusual problem with my SATA drives as they are being detected as USB devices. when there actually internal..
    O/s is XP S2

    any help appreciated

    Can you attach a screenshot of you Disc Management screen ???

    If you have an Nvidia Chipset on your motherboard this is normal

    I don't see where it says .. USB ???
    Just turned on Two more USB externals for illustration ... as compared to previous SS

    yea i know the difference but as you can see in this attchment usb is finding my HDD, and its got me beat why..

    A USB should show up in Safely Remove Hardware.
    Do you see it here ???

    These are my card readers only ... USB's are off

    yea umm.. how can i put it..

    no external storage devices are connected, Sata are internal and not usb

    I Understand ... At least we've collected some info for a real expert when they show up.
    How'd you get the SS shown in post #5 .. Want to see what mine looks like.

    yea well thats true :cool:

    SS was just taken from disk management.... and My Computer

    Hummmm .. Can't find the route to your SS #6
    I'm thinking you don't have a problem .... and SS#6 is confusing you.

    Do they show up as removable as per my SS#9 ??
