sata drives

    does windows 2000 see sata drives
    the reason I ask is going to order new dell pc but it has a sata drive only as a option and need to run windows 2000

    Well, dell computers come with Windows XP, so you shouldn't even have to worry.

    Do you need, without a doubt, install 2000 on it? I've found XP to be far superior.

    2K should have no problem dealing with a SATA drive. This machine is running a SATA drive on 2K... :)

    For 2K do you need any SP's for SATA like you do with XP?

    Well, I'm running SP4 and all the latest security patches, which I'd do anyway...
