Hello, I currently have a 1tb hard drive but also want to get a 2tb hard drive. Currently, one sata cable is going from my hard drive to sata 6g on my motherboard and another sata cable is going from my Disk Drive to the other sata 6g slot. I only have 2 6g slots and 2 3G slots. If I get a 2tb hard drive and plug it into a sata 3G slot will it work?

switch the Disk Drive to the 3G Slot and put hard drive in 6G slot, i don't think it matters much but id rather have hard drive have the faster slots

don't think it matters as long as the connectors fit since 3g stands for 3gb/s and 6g 6gb/s
