    Hi

I want to know, if its possible, to a save movie trailer from the quicktime website. When I right click on the button of the website player, the option to save as a quicktime movie is greyed out. Does anyone know why?

    Cubbycuddly.

    Hiya

Is it streaming movies? Also, I assume that the quicktime movies are embedded in the web page.

If so, have a look at this link:

    http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?threadid=53655&highlight=media

It wasn't succeful for darkeman, but then his were WMP, noy Quicktime.

It may look like sheer hell, so if you want, I can have a go when I come home tomorrow. Off out in a bit.

You can either leave your link here, or PM me it. Took me a while to figure out, and that was on a different media type.

    Regards

I think that option is only available for Quick time pro. You can also check the cache folder because sometimes the movie is stored in there but sometimes not.

if you want to get the mov go into your temp internet files folders
this differs depending what os you use
for all before xp its in windows folder
once there click on the size tab
scroll to the top or bottom and it should be either one of the first there or last

the reason i say click on the size tab is this folder can contain 1000's of files and to scroll through to find would take an eternity

If those ideas didn't work, then I've looked at that page abd have the info that you need. Now, I don't have Quicktime myself, as I don't like it when it tales over your machine.

However, I can go through it with you.

Looking back at that other link I gave:

This, I think, as the other's are linked to something else, is here:

    a772.g.akamai.net/5/772/51/fbe6c3493ccb44/1a1a1aaa2198c627970773d80669d84574a8d80d3cb12453c02589f25382f668c9329e0375e8177dec6493f96bda47a60e73df4b/from_hell_v3_r240.mov

just put http:// at the beginning. This was the only way to get the full link on this page.

Now, when Quicktime is open, go to File | Open URL....

In the dialog box that comes up, paste the above URL and click OK.
Wait for the movie to download. When its fully downloaded, Start | Find Files and Folders and do a search for the move.

For example, say it was called thisisamovie1.mov, then search for this*.mov

And, as I mentioned on the other link, I put this on:

I have also doublechecked this with Techguy just in case this was ilegal. Its not as long as you don't reproduce mass copies.

    Regards
