You're the beneficiary of someone that died and now a good Samaritan wishes to share the money form some other country, etc...

These are obviously fake emails and the scrambled headers give it away more, but is there a better way to filter or report these entities that try to scam others? I've traced a few IP's to places like Korea and Africa (my bank won't allow transactions through their IPs for a good reason), but what can we do other than flag it as spam?

nothing much, i am sorry to say. Most spam are sent out with zombie computers and botnets. Soeven if we do trace them back to the original computer we will onlyend up with an innocent person who has a virus on his computer. As for the real tracebacks, leave it to the big guys at the white house / crack house

I read up on it more, it's almost too easy to setup a scam mail system. I just received another scam mail from pakistan asking me to deposit some money with fedex courier service to receive my large sum, it's just annoying. Almost makes you want to send them something to scare them, like an overly used jockstrap.
