scan disc

    I bought a scan disc an it says it write protected what do do ?

    Te vast majority of CD/DVD discs are WORM discs (Write Once, Read Many). Meaning once written, that's it. It can never be written to again.

    I just bought it a took it out of the package an was trying t format it to use and it said unable to format write protected ?

    :confused: A write-protected CD, DVD, and/or Blu-Ray disc cannot be formatted or written to.

    I think he is talking about a "SanDisk" USB stick not a CD/DVD. Here is some info on Write protected USB sticks, But I do not know any thing about their software they are promoting so ignore that part.

    You shouldn't have had to format it, it should have worked out of the package, what type of format did you use?
