scandisk

    I try to run scandisk but it says restarted 10 times.
    I do not have any open programs. I'm lost please help.

    press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and End all tasks except Explorer and Systray.

    Then run ScanDisk again.

    Hi,

    You could also just restart the system in safe-mode. When the system is first booting up, just start pressing F8, or if you're using Windows 98, just hold down the ctrl-key and choose "safe-mode" from the menu. Then run scandisk.
