Was wondering if anyone out there owns a scanport scanner , model Sq4830 ??. I have recently found the updated drivers for windows XP. There is a test scan Icon within the startup window!!. It passes the scan process , but the scan is so dark within the background it's hard to see. Is there some other overlay program I need to adjust with. also there is a prog with it called Swiss , Is this the main scanning software to scan normally with? Or do I need another overlay software program to make it work properly?? , I am somewhat new to using scanners. If someone out there is framiliar with this particular model SQ4830. Please let me know!!!!

Scanners come with twain driver software that is unique to the scanner make. You should not need anything else. You likely just have to open the scanner software and reset it to automatic.

Look in your Start>Programs for Scanport or ScanModule and open it directly. There should be settings. If there is a basic (or beginner’s) and an advanced control panel switch back to the basic or beginners interface. Check anything that says automatic or reset and make sure you are set up for color RGB scanning.
