I have windows XP Media edition on an HP Pavillion. When I set up windows originally, I did not set up different users. When powered up it just has everything ready (no password, etc.) without logging on as any particular user. I have just one user...the administrator.

I have an external hard drive and want to use the scheduled task/back up funtion, but whenever I try to set up, it says it can't find the user (authorized to run back up)

It comes up with a defaut "YOUR-alphanumeric-HP_Administrator" user, but it will not work if I change it to the named administrator, or leave it, or anything. The task sets up, but will not start on the appointed schedule
