I have a Acer Chromebook. My screen will work depending on it's mood. I have noticed that if I tilt back or forth it will cause it to turn black. Other times it just never comes on. Can there be A short somewhere causing this?

Hi Lindsay1984, and welcome to TSG.

It is more likely an open or broken connection rather than a short in the cable between the motherboard base and the display in the lid of your Chromebook. This can happen from the flexing of the cable when the lid is opened and closed. If the lid itself was subject to a lot of pressure, a large impact, or flexing, it is possible that the display panel is damaged.

Is your Chromebook still under warranty?
