    hi, i'm running linux redhat 7.0, and my question is, how do you take a screen shot, or what command can do it, like for example, in windows print scrn takes a screen shot.

    Type this:
    import -window root screen.jpg
    After you type in the command,be sure to drag the terminal window down to the bottom after typing the command so your screenshot isnt filled with a terminal screen;)
    Then hit enter.You will hear a beep or 2 and then look in your home directory for "screen.jpg"
