I recently downloaded some animated Christmas screensavers and I cannot run them except for when I use the "Preview" option in the display window where you set the saver. After I choose "apply" and exit out, the ss will not run, and "None" is what shows in the selection list. Other savers stay selected run fine, but "3D Christmas in the City" and savers from Freeze.com will not. They are not shareware, and my system meets all the requirements. I downloaded the latest Direct X 9 and installed it into my Windows folder, and no change. I do not have a dedicated video card, but the installed video (Intel video accelerated driver) drivers run everything else, and do run the savers in preview mode. I am running XP, with 250 HDD, 2038 mg of memory. All windows updates are up to date, and my security (anti-virus, firewall, etc.) are current and highly effective.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Happy Holidays,
