    Hello,

Not sure whether to put this here or programming section seen as its more of a hardware issue. Anyway, I am currently designing some software which will be able to send SCSI defined multimedia commands MMC which are defined by SCSI.

I am going to be using a SATA connected Blu-ray/DVD drive. When MMC commands are sent using IOCTL the drive should return information held on an optical disc.

The question I have is are MMC, well SCSI commands compatible for use with a SATA interface? I am unsure whether the protocols are different or not. I'll be using windows xp.

    Thanks!
