I have several 1 gig sd cards and one of them has a couple of movies, streets and trips and music. I was able to fill it to full capacity, but my other cards with only music will only take about 1/2 capacity and if i force more music onto them they start acting up in my pda.. any ideas what might be causing this?

If you are putting the files in the root directory, there is a limit to the number of files you can place in the root directory.

If they're all 8.3 file names, the limit is close to 512 files, however long file names consume directory entries, and will decrease the number of files that can be stored in the root directory.

You can put as many as you like in sub-folders.

If your PDA is a PocketPC, you need to put the files in a specific director--namely a directory right under the root called "My Documents." The is the directory that all PocketPCs look for.
