What is the opinion of using the Microsoft program "Sdelete"? Is there any side effects to using it as say effects that can come from using a utility such as "ccleaner". My reason for asking is just to be sure files deleted are deleted not just waiting to be over-written.

Hi Dave:
If it is in my deleted file or whatever it is actually called then if I am trying to delete the deleted to be sure the trash is completely gone-- I would not have figured it to have been deleted by error. Just a thought. I just want to be sure that I have a clean system.
Thanks Bruce

You don't need to use anything like SDelete to ensure you have a clean system. You use SDelete to make sure someone can't recover a file you delete, that's a privacy thing.
