I'd say almsot nothing bought of eBay can be trusted.

Triple6 who I usually agree with, is really wrong here as I have 3 pc's for which most of the parts came from ebay as did most of my past ones.
Negative naysayers need to try it, and get some real experience by buying only from sellers who have good feedback, and check that very carefully before bidding.
I have nearly 900 feedback and have never been screwed and have bought most of my pc parts both used and new, and most of my household items as well for over 6 years now.

While some eBay purchases might be good, in general, it's not the most reliable place to buy computer hardware. I know it never even enters my head to check eBay when I'm shopping for computer parts. :) I really doubt you'll get that drive much cheaper (if any) on eBay anyway. ;)
