A friend of mine has bought a copy of a helicopter simulation game, Search and Rescue 3 but it won't run. He has two machines, both running Win98SE but both fail in the same way. He's tried it on his son's machine (also Win98SE) with no problem.
The fault is that as the game is trying to start it generates a message "Invalid Page Fault in module ~DF394B.TMP at...". It seems that the run process creates three files in a temporary directory in \windows\temp and this is one of them.
Has anyone seen this before or got any ideas?
