Hey guys, recently sat in a computer chair that was made out of almost a futon like backing. it was the most comfy chair i have ever sat in. I know its probably not the most ergonomic chair out there but im wondering if anyone knows where to get one or anything like it? Any links or anything would be amazing!

    Hi,
Where were you when you sat in it? That might help!
Also ... whose chair was it - perhaps they could tell you its antecedents?

I got the Lifeform® Ultimate Mid Back Executive Office Chair years ago and they are not cheap but with bad back it was the best and the deep memory foam is nice. Thick arm rest of memory foam too. The memory foam in the seat is not as good as it used to be but I have had this over 10 years I think and have used it so many hours and I can sit in it for hours at a time.

They adjust so many ways and you have to order them so you can pick all that you want to get with them and how high the gas cylinder lift part is because it comes in I think 3 sizes so you can get the chair with the right lift so you can sit it in like you should. I wished I got the high back with head rest.
They cost more now but I got to pick the Fabric I wanted that had been great because it looks new still after all the years sitting in it.
I love the thick arm rest too

My trouble is most all seats do not fit me and a history of a bad back you need a chair to fit the body right. Car seats fit better then most but chairs for the house do not because a one size fites all does not work.

    They are made in Canada.

A good office suppy store that is not a or not around here a store most know about will be in most bigger towns so if you can find them or a back store because places like relax the back is where I got mine. A office place will have 100's of chairs, desk etc to pick from. I don't mean Staples or office depot either.

A good well made chair you can pick how it looks and it will last a long time.

Only bad thing about mine is if you need to pick up the chair it takes two people because it's heavy. Where other cheapers brands I can grab and flip then so the are upside down and and carry then over my head but not the one I have now because it build like a rock.

You get a good chair and it will last and your be happy but it will cost you more.

As far as I know, chairs design should vary according to your work - like executive chairs, typist chair (with or without arm rest) etc. So if you want an ergonomic chair, first you need to know what kind of chair you will need.

Here are a few links that may help.

Moreover, a word of advice. Staying in a seated posture constantly for a long hours may result in Musculo-skeletal disorder or MSD (mostly in lumbar region of the Spine causing low back pain). So its best to avoid a constrained posture for a long time.

Trouble I have is the best seat is a car seat because most all chairs are too big. I can not sit all the way back like you should and also have my feet on the floor like you should.
The seat on my desk chair slide back so I can sit back in it. If I had not gotten the other lower "gas cylinder lift" then I would not of been able to get the feet on the floor. I did get a foot rest that tilts to go under the desk also.

Funny over at my dads they got a new dinning table and chairs. The chair are lower and lower then almost all dinning chairs. Most people hate it but I love it because it fits me and I can sit back in them where the old ones I could not get my feet flat on the floor.

Plus the fabric I like a lot better because you don't sweat in it like a leather one that would gave me a rash.
I smoked so a cig break outside where I smoked got me up and out of the chair.
Glad back is not like it was and I no longer smoke. :)

You need to take your time and look around and better yet sit in them to really know how they feel.

But I got the say I love mine and really love the arm rest that has got to be the best around.

    Welcome to TSG!

You do realize that this thread you responded to is almost 5yrs old and I doubt very much that the OP is still looking for a chair.

Post was a spammer. Anytime you see member with post like that where something is for sale and they have a couple post or less they now find post that relate to try and fool people. But SPAM is still SPAM.
