    Hi All,

I work at a small school where I am the closest there is to a network administrator. We got a call from our ISP to inform us that there is a large amount of spam being sent from our location. I need to check the students' laptops (around 20 of them) to find the source, and I am wondering about the best way to go about doing this.

My current plan is to do an ad-ware scan, looking specifically for auto-mailers, and if one is present, to check the firewall settings for it to see if it was allowed access.

Would this be the correct procedure? Can anyone recommend the best way to do the scan (online service, downloadable file to run on each machine, etc.), and/or the best programs to use?
