There is no sign of searchv or anything untoward in your logfile.
    But do this.....navigate to C:\WINNT\System32\svcinit.exe****
[****= random] if the file exists delete it.

wWhat makes you think searchv came back?

Thanks, I'll look for the file. I have 4 user profiles set up on the machine and 3 of the 4 browser's went to the searchv page. I went thru the Adaware / Spybot / HT process for each user profile and that seemed to work.

Damn, I'm getting real parinoid about this s&^T!

Or if you want one of us to take a look post a HijackThis logfile.

go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the result
