    I gave up. I just did the system restore and went back to before I got the searchv thing.

    I didnt find out how to remove it. I did find that in the msconfig thing there was an entry that was called update reg or soemthing ilke that. It would basically executre a registry update in the windows folder. This update would be executed everytime you boot. So no matter how many times you ran spy bot or some other prog to fix your pc, at startup that registry patch would be called and executed. Renewing the dang searchv hijacked webpage thingy.
