I want to connect two monitors to one PC, I tried installing a second card in the PC but when connected it cancels out the on board video card that is attached to the motherboard
fyi, I used these on the home rigs; for the workplace, I had to get something a bit more robust as I had more than 3 pc's to update. But for home, that works ducky.
Generally this is actually the desired result. An add-in graphics card will actually help overall computer performance and offload all the display functionality from the system onto itself and free up the previously used system RAM back to the system.
All modern video cards support at least 2 monitors, some up to 6 or even more. Connect both monitors to the new graphics card.
