Went to Secunia Software Inspector to run a scan . I get an error while trying to run the scan . { There might be problems loading the Java Applet in your browser . If you aes sure that Java is installed and functional please press OK to proceed anyway . } I click OK and it stalls . I know I have the latest java so it must be a setting somewhere . Anyone know where to go .

I had the same problem. Best thing to do is go here:

    https://psi.secunia.com/

Download and install the psi. It wants to run at boot, but I stopped it from running at boot and manually run psi once a week. If you leave it running it tends to chew up a bit of resources. Just manually run a scan once a week or so and then close it out, till next manual scan.

When you first click on the psi shortcut, it seems as thought nothing is happening. Just give psi a couple of minutes to initialize. Secunia collects no private information through the running of the psi.

OR, if the secunia icon is in your systems tray, right click on it and click the Reload Interface and across the top of that new window are several options. Click on Settings tab and remove the check mark from the last two items. IF the icon is not in the sys stray, go to start>programs>open the secunia program and change the settings. This removes the full automatic protection but you should practice opening and letting it run weekly or more frequently; your call.
Let us know if either of these 2 posts' suggestions help. Good luck.
