Hi sacritech, Welcome to TSG!!

Create a permanent folder on your hard drive for Hijackthis, like My Documents\HJT
Click on this link: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe and "Save" hijackthis to the folder you have created.

Double click on the program to run hijackthis, click "scan" then click on "Save Log".

Post a copy back here and someone will be happy to review it.

Don't make any changes until instructed to do so.

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Go here and download Stinger. That will remove the Netsky virus from your machine. Follow the instructions on the web page and don't change any of the default settings in the tool. Make sure you have admin rights on the machine.

Restart in Safe Mode

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

Delete this folder:
C:\PROGRAM Files\COMMON Files\WinTools

Delete these files if they are still present:
C:\WINDOWS\FVProtect.exe
c:\counter.cab
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32msn6935252324325.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\divxdec_0411.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hicom.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\telcmd.exe

Reboot and post another log.

Go to Internet Options, Programs
Click the "Reset Web Settings" Button to reset your home and search pages.

Oh, after stinger ran it said it deleted like 739/740 infected files, is that a problem? Also, while i was deleting the files I came across another file that I new was a virus, it was called like "215020" or something, actually I only remember that it started with a 2. But whatever, I deleted it. And lastly, I couldnt find C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\divxdec_0411.exe, but I did find the same thing with the extension dll. If this means I have to reinstall divx thats fine, but I didnt want to take any chances.

whatever weve done so far hasnt really solved the problem. The virus keeps coming back, its called "127051.rar" it keeps putting sex icons on my desktop. Its diving me cazy! It also displays messages every so often about not having a modem and stuff. I mean I dont have a modem but the messages are really annoying!
