    Hi;

    My girlfriend's security center is not coming up when she boots her system.

    When she opens it, she gets the following:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Security center is currently unavailable because the "security center"
    service has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart
    the computer (or start the security center service), open the security center
    again.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    After rebooting, she gets the same thing.

    She went to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

    ... right-clicked on the "Security Center" entry, and sees no option for starting it.

    (Everything is "greyed out.")

    She has McCafee firewall, with AVG, and is running Windows XP.

    Is this due to a virus infection?

    ... or is it McCaffee?

    Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!
