That's a security update for XP Media Center Edition 2005. Is that the version of XP that you're using?

Go into Add Or Remove Programs and put a checkmark in "Show Updates" to allow the list of updates and hotfixes to appear. Is the KB973768 update in the list?

this update is only for media center 2005

if you have a zune or other media player installed, update detection will wrongly think you need it or if you have mediacenter 2002 installed

do you have media center version of XP at all and if so which version

When trying to install the file I got this error.

Setup cannot continue because one or more prerequisites required to install kb973768 failed. For more details check the log file c:\windows\kb973768.log

Can somebody help me fix this problem?
