Whenever I open Help and Support and click on one of the entries I get an
    Internet Explorer caution

" Your current Security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this
page. As a result the page may not display correctly "

This occurs whether I am on line or offline.

Internet Option/Security are all set at Default.

I rang Microsoft Australia and was told by them that it is caused by my AV
Program, AVG 7. I disabled that and the result was the same.

I wrote to Grisoft and they informed me that the problem wasn't caused by
AVG that it is a Windows restrictions settings.

I have tried all combinations that I can think of but the problem still persists.

I am using XP Pro with SP2 installed, but this annoyance was evident prior to the installation of SP2

Can anyone offer any assistance please?

Thanks for that link Rude, but I have already been there and it says that all is in order.

Yes Rude, I have even lowered all setting in the security zones to the lowest level but the result still remains the same. None of the normal suggestions seem to work.

    Thanks for your help.

Thank you TW56, I have been there and tried that, but the status quo remains.

I notice on the page that you directed me to that the article does not cover XP.
