Whenever i start up my computer i get the 'Please select the opertaing system to load:' and the two options are
    1. Windows XP Home Edition
    2. Windows recovery console
This only recently started, i think after i had run xp in safe mode, but i didnt change anything so i dont know what could be causing it.

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance,

i figured out how to do this shortly after i posted, for anyone else who needs help with this, this is what to do.

Open up the system properties. (Control panel -> system)

Click the advanced tab the click the button "Settings" under startup and recovery.
Then UNcheck 'time to disply list of operating systems'.

    Done!

The trouble is that you now won't be able to boot into the Recovery Console if you need it to do repairs (except from the XP CD). It looks like it was installed to your hard drive, which is very convenient.

Wouldn't it be better to set the display time to 5 seconds? I know I use the RC a lot to run chkdsk and it finds errors not found when chkdsk is run from within Windows at boot.
