Is there a way to delete a single item in the autocomplete listing that comes up in IE? I mistyped a username, and now both items keep appearing in the listing. Thanks!

If you're referring to the IE address bar drop down list, do this:

Go to Start/run, and type Regedit.

    Drill down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Highlight 'TypedUrls'. Now remove the items you want to get rid of in the right pane.

    Good luck,

Thanks for the information, Tony, but the IE address bar dropdown menu is not my problem. When I go to a website and sign in, the "username" field shows a dropdown menu as soon as I enter the first letter of my username -- but there are two entries shown, due to my mistyping the username once. Is there a way to delete the erroneous item? Thanks!

    Now I understand.

These are easier to get rid of.

You just highlight them on the dropdown list, and hit 'delete'.

    Good luck,

I always just assumed you had to clear the whole thing.

    Thanks Tony.
