    Hello to all,

I have a problem when I send documents via email. I have scanned some documents and saved as a word document and when I try to send the document through email it doesn't go through and appears with a message that the document is too big, however I have been able to send through other documents?
Would this be because the document has been scanned and how do I change the settings so that the email with attachments goes through.
Please advise as my outlook express has now frozen because I think of the document in my outbox....Please help me.

    Taza,

If you are getting a message that your files are too large to use as attachments, you will need to compress your files using either PKZip, WinZip, or some other compression software.

You can download an "evaluation" version of WinZip at:

    http://www.winzip.com/

On the frozen OE, you may need to end up uninstalling it. If so, here is the Microsoft guidance:

FZWG is right about using Winzip or WinRar to compress your files. Also, you could scan them at the lowest resolution that you can still read the docs. That will make them smaller. You will have to get that file out of your outbox. How do you connect to the internet?

Thank you very much people, I will give this a try. I have managed to remove the email from my outbox by creating a rule to move items in the outbox to my deleted items folder and just arranged for all items to be deleted.

I appreciate the assistance that I have recieved as I learn alot from everyone here.

    Thank you again.
