I am building my first computer and everything is going o/k but one thing I am not sure of.
The case I am using which included very brief instructions, has 2 sensor leads coming from a display unit at the front.
You can press the mode button on the front to show the temperature of the area where the sensors are located.
I would like to know where is the best place to fit them, and how to fit them are they just taped somewhere?
Thanks

Sounds like thermometers. Assuming they give separate outputs, one should measure the CPU, probably placed between the heatsink fins at the base of the heatsink. If you have a high-perfomance graphics card, that's the other place I'd monitor. That one will depend on the card but again the heatsink near its core is probably the best bet. Otherwise probably the north bridge.

I wouldn't suggest taping, if you can get them to stay you should just wedge them in. otherwise I'd suggest using tape or zipties to secure them to another wire, the case, etc near the end of the lead so they will stay. Tape will tend to melt, lose adhesiveness, and leave a sticky mess. Also, the less stuff in contact with heatsinks and chips, the better for cooling.
