Ok, I'm gonna start this off by saying that everything I'm explaining here is happening using Firefox 1.0 (It doesn't work any better with IE anyway)

Ok, first of all, I started up my wireless internet connection about an hour ago and I immediately caught two viruses which Norton alerted me of (Trojans, apparently) Whenever I start up Firefox, it should take me to Google, being my homepage, but it brings me to a blank screen. I attempt to reload but it just reloads the same white screen. So I went to this site from my bookmarks, and it happened to work. I clicked on the forums, and basically nothing happened. If I want to get to a page via a link, I pretty much have to rapid-fire click the link anywhere from 5-20 times before I get lucky and it happens to load. Some ites however, seems impossible to load at all. So I'm in the process of Adaware scan, which has currently scanned 160,000 files with no problems detected whatsoever. I also ran a CWShredder (latest version) scan (since Norton said I had Trojans) and it turned up nothing. I scanned with HijackThis and it looks perfectly fine, but I'll post it anyway. This all happened very suddenly without any warning or reason that I can think of. I'm sorry if this has been posted, but it would literally take me forever to go through the history. Thanks for any help.

The only thing I see that would cause this problem is that you have your homepage set to a blank page. In Firefox click on Tools -Options -General- at the home page you have the option of setting it as the current page -as a bookmark, or as a blank page. I think you have it set to a blank page.
If you want Google as your home page, navigate to Google, then click on set to current page.

Well, strangely enough, the problem is gone. I finished that adaware scan yesterday, and it ended up clean. I did a Norton scan which found three trojans and fixed them all. Then I restarted my computer multiple time and the problem never went away. Iturned my computer off for the night, turned it on today and it works fine. Well, almost fine, some sites still look kind of messed up, like the one I'm at right now. The smilies aren't loading (actually, one loaded) and the buttons at the top (underline, indent, insert email link, etc) are being shown as words instead of buttons (except for bold and italicize, those are buttons) and sites seems to be loading more slowly, so I guess I'm still gonna have to look into it.

Oh, wait a minute, I just hit submit and it failed to load it. So lets see how many clicks it takes

1, 2 , 3, 4, 5, 6,

Ok, so that took 7 clicks. The problem is back. I tried to load homepage, nothing, I went to a different search engine (alltheweb) typed in tech guy and hit search (6 clicks before it worked) I clicked the tech guy link (9 clicks) I hit forums (3 clicks) and clicked on the link to my thread (4 clicks)

Any help? BTW, the homepage is still set to Google
