OK SO about a week ago I started noticing popups and that my windows security centre automatic updates were turned off (no matter what I do I cannot turn them back on) and a very slow comp.
So I ran adaware and spybot and both turned up virtumundoso i ran vundofix, virtumundobegone, and easy cleaner to try and fix this. Virtumundo still shows up every few scans (i've been running spybot at least twice a day)
BUT I still have MANY pop ups and a disabled automatic updates (even tho my security centre in the control panel says it's is on) i uninstalled firefox thinking it might be in there, and used IE for a bit to download a newer firefox. However according to IE, my security settings do not allow me to download anything. which doesn't make sense. b/c I'm not restricted at all. and my mcafee has not be able to update itself for several days (it is set to download updates every other day) but everytime it tries it fails.

every spybot scan returns this - Windows Security Center.AntiVirusOverride: SettingsHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusOverride!=dword:0 and my processes has an awful lot of svchost.exe running i have no idea what's going on but would sure love any help at all.
