I was recently hit with the SERV-Me trojan, which means absolutely nothing to me. Firewall stopped it anyway, went to look at what it does, nothing in norton, checked yahoo sites, no one can tell me what it does or intends to do. It was sent by someone in Taipai, Taiwan (SP). I was just curious.

SERV-Me is the name reference to a port (5555) used by a computer.
The fact that trojan horse was associated with this port possibly means the trojan (type of file used to trick opener into allowing to run) used port 5555 to communicate back to or from somewhere.

good thing norton is on the job.

Thanks for the info. Checked on the IP address and the last 4 digits after the coma I guess were the port used. It was 5555.
