I've got an old, obsolete PC that I just hooked up on the opposite side of my desk.
I've been thinking of things I could use it for, for quite a while now.

The specs are nothing great; as I said, it is obsolete.

    2.0 GhzCPU
    512 MB RAM
    Radeon 9550
    100 GB HD space
    Small IBM case

Is it possible to host a website or two off of this machine? Nothing big, but can it be done?

If so, which operating system should I use?
Which programs, techniques, etc. would you suggest?

Linux with Apache. I would use bash.
If it is at your house your ISP may not permit you to host websites...
