When i try and install the windows xp service pack 1a(or somethin) i get a error that says it can't verify the integrity of the update.inf file. And to check to see if the cryptographic service is running, which it is.

I have win xp home. Can anyone help me out?

Also i am having problems installing direct x 9. For some reason when i install any kind of drivers winxp says they didn't pass the logo testing and asks if i want to continue... when i install directx9 it says ot didn't pass and cannot continue...

Any help with this one?

Thanks

Is that service running?
Click start
then run and type services.msc
Scroll down to cryptographics and make sure it is set to automatic & started (doubleclick it)
