There's a folder in the Windows folder that has a name 'Service Pack 2 Files.' I'm pretty sure most Service Pack 2 things were put in the System32 folder. Is the folder in C:/Windows/ something I can delete, like a temporary folder where stuff was put in installation? It takes up about half a gig and this hard drive is 6.5 gigs. Whew, thank god it's my spare crap one. :)

Thx 4 Helpin

Not an answer unfortunately. but what exactly is the directory path? I have SP2, but don't see that Service Pack folder in my system32 folder.

You may have a slipstreamed Windows XP. Read this: http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp2_cd.htm

I am still confused on what slipstreamed is. I didn't go throught that process when installing SP2.

Did you read the article in the link? It explains what slipstream XP is and how the SP2 folder is created. Do I understand that you installed the SP2 yourself and that it did not come with the XP cd? You may have created the folder yourself while installing SP2.

Oh, sorry for my stupidity, lemme read it thoroughly. Does it explain if you can remove it because I beleive I asked that. :)

Edit:

I did read it and it didn't answer my question at all. I don't want to know how to do it, I want to know if I can remove the folder. Can I? I suppose I can, but I don't want to mess up my computer. :(

yes, seeing as it's in system32 folder, too leave it for now; but I'm sure eventually someone here will give you verification on that if you bump this thread up every so often. ps... what was the exact Directory path of the folder?
