I think windows xp service pack 3 is causing me problems. For some reason I can't uninstall it. I tried using the uninstaller found in add/remove programs but that didn't work. An error message pops up at the end saying: file can't be found, after click ok the next message says: Service Pack 3 did not uninstall

I went to the microsoft site and followed there directions for using the repair console, I thought that worked Service pack 3 still shows up in the add/remove programs window. Also when I double click on system it still shows up as SP 3.

Any ideas on how to remove this? For some reason I have no system restore points, so can't restore to an earlier state. According to Mcafee and webroot my system is free from viruses and spyware. I'll be posting a hijackthis log shortly.
