Dear All,(and assuming I have the right category for my problem) I will give you the long version in case you can spot what initially caused it.I dashed downstairs to check on sick ***** cat (45 secs) and when I got back there was a very technical message regarding my screen saver (Marine aquarium 2) I didnt understand it but It suggested re-starting the computer but when I clicked on the ok I could see the problem, well part of it.I had a lovely wide black border all round the screen and what was left in the middle was giant sized,I mean enormous.I re-started but it was still the same and I couldnt do anything because I couldnt scrole down the page.I somehow managed to get into system restore and chose the first available date.I nearly gave up after half an hour but then I spotted the "blue line" starting. Two hours later (!) it finally finished. There were two messages, the first was about accessing the e-bay toolbar via the start bar.(The same evening it had disappeared from the screen and I had to download it again.)The second message was "Service Profile is damaged.Re-install Service Profile." So what I would like to know is please, what is the Service Profile? Any idea how it got damaged? And most importantly, how do I re-install it?
Well thats it,I do hope you can help.
    Regards, Penelope.
