set up network in win98

this network used to work fine and now i can't connect, keep telling me errror,
what i have done wrong

did you add or turn on firewall software...if so disable it.

i didn't turn on firewall, what i did i add a new pcmcia network card, replace the drivers
this card works under win98,
laptop is connected to router, but nothing,

do i need to reinstall all again or there is a some quick fix
