My wife's cousin has a Sony FD 73 camera. I don;t know how old it is but it uses a 3.5" floppy disk to record the pictures.
The instruction book I downloaded says the recommended OS is Windows 3.1 Windows 95 or later, so it is sort of an antique I suppose.
He needs to have the date embedded in the pictures I can't find a setting for this in the manual. Is there a way to change settings so he can do this?
    Thanks.

If it is NOT in the manual, then I would say that it can not be done.

Probably not as the date is stored in the exif data of the image. I remember seeing a programme some time ago that read the exif data and put the date on the photo as a watermark in post processing. Google may find it for you.

That tell you how to set the date and time but it doesn't say anything about the date stamp being on the viewed photo.

    OK thanks.

Well the small battery needs to in the camera your see on page 33.

But do you know if the camera ever had a date stamp?
I would think if it has a date stamp that the booklet would say how to turn it on or off..

OK it looks like it has a date/time stamp.
Additional Features - Demonstration mode, auto power save, progressive scan CCD system, date/time stamp, display brightness control

    Note this is another model.

Maybe you need to be in the record mode.

Look in the booklet pages 17 to 19 to see if that helps.

It is on recording the date/time but not sure if it also records it on the image as a date/time stamp
