    Hi

Is it possible to setup a VPN server on my current windows XP system? I've been wanting to learn how to setup a VPN, so that i can connect to my home computer via anywhere (network; workplace; internet) to get my connection shared through this tunnel. I've looking for clues all over, but only found out about Router w/ VPN pre-configured to a number of clients. are vpn(s) only available by hardware?

From control panel open network connection
    create a new connection
    NEXT
    set up an advanced connection
    next
    accept incoming connection
select connection method/for ethernet select none
    allow virtual private connections
    select/create an account for access
    set up your network settings
    next
    finish
