    Hi,
I want to setup windows messenger in my LAN for a group of nearly 20 users without using internet . We use SBS server 2003. Just want to connect locally and use them with local members only(not like windows live messenger newer version connecting yahoo etc etc.) . Is there any possible way to do this. If so please reply me with a solution..

    Thanks
    Sumanth

Windows Messenger and Windows Live Messenger both login to a Microsoft server to work. You may be able to emulate that service yourself, but it would probably be easier to look for an IM application that works over a LAN (an example) or just use the Messenger service.
