i finally figured out how to get to the setup stage in installing win98 on a second partition, as i started the instalation, it came to the part on where to install the operating system, and i chose other ( than C: ) so i type in F:\windows and this message comes up :
Setup cannot create" F:\windows " make sure you specified a valid letter and directory name. also make sure the directory name does not conflict with the existing files on your device.
has anybody ever encountered this in the past, i ahve been at this for some time now and am getting pretty frusterated, any help would be very appreciated, fred

If you have two (2) partitions on your HDD the second one would be D and not F.
