when i try to initialize a setup.exe something pops up first saying "please wait...initializing". Then another one pops up saying "Setup Initialization Error 1004.1", what does this mean and what can I do to correct it?

It's likely to be problem specific to the actual setup for the program you are trying to install.

What program are you trying to install, what version of Windows?

Is it in any way related to your other post?

it is related to my other post. i am trying to install a program for my Oakland Community College school homework. the program is called SAM computer literacy version 3.0. it is an assessement and training program for microsoft office 2003 and the computer concepts. it said that i can use microsoft xp and even though, when i start the computer, it says windows 98, i have installed microsoft xp. if you can, please answer both questions for me, this question and the other post. thank you
