Good evening all,

I'm using Firefox version 3.0.8 on a Lenovo R61 with Windows XP SP3. I had an issue with a trojan called trojan.fakeavealert not too long ago, but I seem to be rid of it. Now, however, I'm having problems with Firefox. For example, I used to be able to type a word or phrase into my address bar and get redirected to the actual site (e.g. typing in the word "gmail" and getting gmail.com, or "myspace" and being automatically sent to myspace.com. Or, if matches can't be found, I was taken to the google search for that phrase). Now entering a word just sends me to blank page (e.g. http://gmail/). Also, I'll click on hits in Google and get sent to a site called fctravellife.com, xflifetravel.com, or supersearch2009. Additionally, when using facebook on any browser on my computer, the facebook chat is unresponsive and cuts on and off without actually sending anything I type. I don't know if these problems are related, but didn't want to discount the idea. Can anyone help me?:(
