    I have 4 laptops say...
I want to share one drive between all 4 of them
Each will have it's own different internet connection.
    How can I do this?
(I don't have experience of networking - which I guess is the answer?)

    Thanks.

OneDrive is a cloud based storage so you can go online to see the files.

If you want to use File Explorer to access the files, then you would need to download the OneDrive app (if you don't have it) and sign into the application with the Microsoft account.

Be aware though, OneDrive will store a copy of the files on the computer, so make sure you select the Files On-Demand option:

    thanks for the reply
    i actually should have mentioned...
    i tried using dropbox...
    it had a big problem...
it kept on making 'conflict copies'
the file was written to too frequently and the actual file wouldn't get updated

i guessed i would have the same problem using one drive or google drive and others

One thing about OneDrive is that the editing is done real time and can be done with multiple people. Dropbox and Box I don't like as much because of those issues. When you have multiple computers that has downloaded the file it may not be synced correctly or on time so problems like that will occur.

    Aha... :)
i HATE onedrive because of what u mention... it's so clunky...
for every operation it wants to call home and make sure all is OK...
BUT... what u describe... might well be a solution for me :)
    i'll give it a go
    many thanks.

Actually out of all of them, I prefer onedrive. I used to like googledocs but started to have issues with formatting and files turning to their file associations.

    Good luck!
