Hi val921h, Welcome to TSG!!

Looks like that belongs to HP scanner. Is that what you are trying to install?

Maybe if you give the name of the software someone will have a suggestion.

it not the software it's a program called sharins that I am missing.... I want to know if I can buy or download it. I don't know exactly what the program is or what it does it's not on the free software sites. Forgive me if I am not explaining this properly and sorry if I am giving you guys the run around.

I wish I could be of help to you. I use BellSouth DSL and I searched for the "sharins" that you refer to but have not seen any such reference to it. I do not see it being called for in Parental Control. You must be frustrated to no end. If you can tell us any more, please reply.
BTW: I think you will like BS and DSL. I do:D

Have you checked with BellSouth? They may have a fix for the problem since it's their software.

Yes i've tried talking to their incompetent tech help he stated that it is a program that is should be on your computer but he has no clue how to get it. I have found references to it on goggle but it was no help to me

From what I read about AOL, you will be a smart Mom to stay away--far away from AOL.
Have you inquired about Parental Controls from BellSouth? If not, then why not?
And just what is the link's site going to offer you? I could not open it for a reading.
BellSouth has a provision for you to "talk" to the tech support via use of some software they use that is similar to messenger. Ask any question you want and they will walk you through it. (Just hope you don't get outsourced to some foreign country for an answer) I truly do not understand the problem you are having with the "software" you are wanting; software no one has been able to find on the web.
Again, I really wish you good luck and same computing.

You can read that site if you use view as HTML. It talks about ODBC, appears to make some changes to the registry and possibly replacing some files.

If you choose to give it a try please make a new restore point before you do so you can go back if necessary.

How to create a new System Restore point.

I would be tempted to try it as well since you are not getting any tech support from BellSouth.
