sharing an internet connection

    Hello, i am getting a new comp thats specs are either 32 or 64 mb RAM pen 1 1 gb hdd. i have cable enternet service on my good comp. i want to know how to network the two together so the new oe and the old one can work on the same cable modem, oh and i think that it has either a 28k modem or a 56<doubt it:rolleyes:>

    The easiest way by far is a broadband router, they're available for $40-50, sometimes cheaper.

    just run Internet Connection Sharing' in win XP on the host PC. (might only be Pro).

    Its free - works great for me :)

    I would go with the router. They are fairly inexpensive today and a lot more stable then ICS. Also with ICS you have to leave the host computer on to use the other one.

    I agree with all of the above. Get yourself 2 network cards(if you have'nt already) and a cable dsl router join the two pc's together in the router and the cable internet conn, and you're up and running. It's that simple.;)
