I have office installed on three of my machines in my home network. Two are Office 2007 and the third is Office 2010. I created a OneNote 2007 Notebook that I successfully shared with the other 2007 system. However when I try opening it on the 2010 system I get a message saying it can't open any of the sections because they are password protected. They are not password protected.

Does anyone know a way around this problem? Or possibly what I'm doing wrong when I open the notebook. Are you supposed to open 2007 notebooks differently on a 2010 system than a 2007 system? If so how do I do that?

Do you have access to other files within this same general area of the other machine, from the 20110 machine?

Yes. My 2010 machine has access to the same files on the other machines in my house that the two office 2007 machines do.

BUT, do you have access to their files listed under the different users on the other machines?

Most default setups do NOT allow other users to access the files under another users folders.

OneNotes files are NOT in the "Public" area, but under the "Users" private folders.

I created the notebook as shared and it lives in a shared subfolder of Public on my XP machine running Office 2007. It can be read by my VISTA laptop that runs Office 2007 but not by my VISTA laptop that's running Office 2010.

I do NOT have 2010 so I can not reply as to it, but, it just may be that you can not share a 2007 file with 2010.

Also, WHY are you using the \Temp\ folder to save data?
